About Us

How it all started
Our umbrella company Pars Commodities Inc. was incorporated in November 1990 with its main objective to import food products – mainly nuts and dried fruits – from around the world and sell them to major processors/packers and distributors throughout Canada and the US.

The idea for retail
With over 15 years of experience in importing and distributing these items to wholesalers all over North America, we decided in January 2003 to unleash the best kept secret in nuts and dried fruit and give the public, access to the same levels of quality at unbelievably low prices as our wholesalers have been receiving over the years.

Our success in retail
We started with a retail outlet, directly in front of our warehouse, roasting and packaging plant which is located in Montreal. Soon word got around and, with the rapid increase of our loyal customer base and requests for a second, more central location in Montreal, we opened the doors to our new gourmet boutique in Westmount, on October 15th 2005.

Extending our reach
We also decided to expand our customer reach and offer people who do not have the possibility to visit one of our shops, or simply enjoy the comfort of ordering on-line with a second option. This was achieved by launching our new website in December 2005, giving you the opportunity to order our mouth-watering dried fruits and nuts from the comfort of your home or office, and from anywhere in the world!
